Product Release Notes
Special Edition: Network Tokens

At VGS, we're the World's Leader in Payment Tokenization for a reason. With over 4 billion tokens stored globally, we are always looking to make our customer experiences better. That's why we are excited to announce several improvements to our network tokens. To highlight the continuous improvements being executed, we've created a special edition release notes. Here's what features are in general or limited availability:

Card Art

Card Art is accessible via Network Tokens and improves consumer experience and accuracy during checkout.

Card Art is an enhancement to the consumer checkout user experience and allows:

  • Customers to easily distinguish between their multiple cards on a checkout page reducing chargebacks and disputes
  • The checkout experience to speed up as customers visually know what card to use
  • More intuitive payment flow as the customer experience mirrors a physical experience

With Card Art, the user experience just became best-in-class.

Support for Account Funding Type (AFT)

AFTs, or Account Funding Types, are a type of financial transaction that securely moves funds from one account to another. AFTs are a pull transaction that involves funds being 'pulled' from a cardholder's account to the target account being funded. These happen when a payment service provider, or PSP, pulls funds from a card to fund a separate account.

AFTs are now supported by VGS through our Network Tokens for money movement companies and any AFT use case.

It's as simple as a merchant sending a cryptogram fetch request to VGS, along with the transaction type (AFT vs ecomm). From there, VGS will fetch the cryptogram from the Visa network for the transaction type (AFT). VGS then returns a Network Token, expiration date, and cryptogram to facilitate transaction authorization.

Now you can ensure all of your Visa AFT transactions are successful using VGS.

Network Tokens & Account Updater now available on all 4 networks (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover)

VGS Network Tokens and Account Updates are now available for all four networks. That includes:

Payment Network Logos

VGS connects directly to these four networks reducing costs and improving customer authorization rates.

These new features are designed with you in mind, and we hope they make your experience with VGS even better. As always, we encourage you to share your thoughts and ideas—your feedback helps us keep improving.

If you are interested in any of these, contact us or reach out to your account manager.
